Just Some Updates

I apologize that I haven't been posting much; I haven't been taking as many pictures this week. Laurel is definitely keeping me busy! She needs to be entertained almost all the time! The exersaucer lasts for about 5-10 minutes at the most and the mobile is not really an option anymore! So Peter and I joke that we have to have about 50 things planned for Laurel to do so we can jump from one thing to the next to keep her happy. Some days can be long, especially when she's being a little grumpy, but she is so worth it. Laurel will make it all better when she laughs over something so little.

Before bedtime in particular, Peter and I have had to get pretty creative about how to keep Laurel happy and occupied. One night this week, we found websites online that had different farm animal sounds and played them for her! She seemed to enjoy it. She loves all music toys and ones that play different animal sounds. I even found a clip of Elmo on YouTube teaching about the letter A and I played that for her. That did seem to keep her interest for a couple minutes.

On Wednesday, my mom had a conference in Raleigh, so my dad came to visit and spend some time with Laurel. Granddad loves reading to Laurel and Laurel was more than happy to sit and be read to.

Laurel has been doing great with her rice cereal! On Wednesday night, she finished a whole bowl and didn't fuss at all! For the past few days, Laurel would fuss because she wanted her bottle. Then, Laurel started looking toward the side like she was thinking if I can't see them, they can't see me or feed me that stuff! She was so funny about it! Then on Wednesday night, she just started eating it so much better! She would open her mouth in anticipation for it and acted like she actually liked it! Yay! Let's hope she keeps this up!

Today, Laurel woke up earlier than usual and was pretty grumpy this morning. Poor little girl was so tired! I think we both were realizing we needed a change of scenery! So we went to the Factory to walk around for a little bit! I put her in the stroller like a big girl (not in her carrier in it) for one of the first times! Laurel was so tired, but she still loved being able to look around at everything! Laurel most liked watching the ice skaters that were out there! This is just what we needed this morning!
