Since putting Laurel in the swing during meals is no longer an option (she would cry about as soon as we put her in there), we decided to try something else. Daddy's lap is always a hit with her, but we wanted to find another way to keep her entertained so Daddy could have two free hands for dinner sometimes! Laurel has sat in the Bumbo seat when I've eaten a quick lunch, but the real test was dinnertime. It was a hit during dinner too!
Laurel loved being able to look around at everything, a different view and side of the table than she was used to.
I gave Laurel a burp cloth to hold onto, and she was entertained with that for practically all of dinner!
When Laurel wasn't playing with the burp cloth, she loved taking turns talking to Daddy and Mommy.
This arrangment just might work!
