I was tagged by my sister, Catherine, to list 10 unique things about my little one! Usually I skip the little surveys, but this one looked fun!
10 Unique Things about Laurel
(these are in the order that they are coming to me :) )
10. Laurel still likes to be swaddled from the waist down. Since she was born, she has loved to be swaddled, but would fight to get her arms free because she didn't want them constrained. We found what worked when we swaddled her with her arms out.
9. Laurel sleeps either with her arms straight out at her sides or above her head when her face toward into one of her arms. It's sooo precious!
8. Laurel has a "stork bite" on the back of her head/upper neck. It's a reddish mark that I noticed in one of the first couple weeks (when I looked it up online, it said that stork bites don't always show up at birth). It's so cute and I love it, but I know her hair will eventually cover it up!
7. Laurel is rough with her toys. Peter and I always teasingly tell Laurel, "Gentle, gentle" when she's playing in her exersaucer because she is jumping pretty hard and bangs all of the toys that she can or pulls them out!
6. Laurel loves to touch your mouth, nose, and face. She'll do it anytime she's near your face! Oftentimes, Laurel will take a break when she's eating, arch her back, look at you, and then start putting her hands all over your mouth. We love it!
5. Laurel loves to drink water out of a cup. It started one day when Peter was holding her at the table and let her have some water out of it. Now, Laurel reaches for the cup or will follow you with her eyes as you get the cup off the table and bring it to your mouth.
4. When awake, Laurel has always needed to eat every 2 to 2 and a half hours. (For those who have not experienced it personally, Laurel means right then :) ).
3. Right now, when Laurel "talks" a lot of the things she "says" sound like "hey hey hey."
2. Laurel went for a stretch where she would sleep from 8 pm- 9 am. I loved it! It was nice to have that extra time in the morning! Now we're pretty much past that, but it was oh-so-nice when it lasted!
1. Laurel is one jumping girl! She jumps ALL THE TIME! If you stand her up on your lap, she starts jumping! If you stand her up on the floor, she starts bouncing! If you sit her on your hip, she bounces up and down. If you sit her on your lap, she'll bounce. This girl LOVES to jump!
So there is my list of 10 unique things about Laurel! It was fun thinking of those sweet little things about our girl. I hope you learned something new about Laurel! Now I'll tag Joy, Kim, Kelly, and Jessica to list 10 unique things about their little ones!
