Laurel is 10 months-old today! Like every month, it's so hard to believe! ! I'm finding myself trying to cuddle with our baby girl a whole lot more because she'll be out of this baby stage before we know it! Laurel just gets more and more fun every day and is just as sweet as she can be! :)
Here are some things Laurel is doing at 10 months:
-Laurel crawls all over the place. We notice that her pace seems to be a little quicker when she's headed to something that's a no-no. :)
-And on that note, Laurel definitely knows what "no" means.
-Laurel pulls up on everything and she can get herself down. She used to just cry for us to get her down.
-She likes when you hold her hands as she walks around.
-She loves playing with Tupperware when we're in the kitchen. We moved our Tupperware to the bottom shelf of our baker's rack for Laurel.
-She's really into crumpling up and playing with newspapers, magazines, and any kind of paper.
-Laurel often seems to have something in her hand when she's crawling or pulling up (usually it was the last thing she was playing with)
-Within the last week, Laurel has really started to babble a whole lot more. One of the sounds she babbles is "dada" but hasn't called Peter that yet.
-She loves stuffed animals, baby dolls, and balls.
-Laurel is a pretty good eater. Sometimes she takes a long time to eat and we'll have to pull out all our tricks, but she's usually pretty good about eating what we put in front of her. Her favorites are peas, green beans, carrots, any fruit really, yogurt, crackers, oatmeal, and cheerios. Laurel has improved so much on feeding herself cheerios.
-Laurel loves to get her hands on people's hair.
-She'll whine or cry for a few seconds after we take something away that she wants.
-She sleeps 12-13 hours a night and takes two naps a day. The first nap is closer to two hours and the second nap varies, but usually around an hour or so.
-When we play with Laurel on the floor, she'll often crawls into our lap, but then when she gets there, she acts like she wants to get out! It's so funny.
-She always has to be moving or doing something. It's rare that she wants to be still!
-Her crib has been lowered and she went into her "big girl" car seat this month.
-Laurel still likes to read books and still has her favorite books.
-Still no teeth!
-Laurel has started to open some drawers and cabinet doors
I think those are the main things. I'm sure I'll be coming back to this post to add things as I think of them for our record. We can't get over how fast she's growing and how much she can change within a month! She is becoming more and more independent and doing so many new things. We just love our little girl to pieces!
