I'm so behind on blogging, but I wanted to post a fun and exciting one! Laurel says "dada" all of the time, "mama" every so often, and phrases that sound like "What's that?," "This is" and "I see it" a lot of the time. She knows the names for so many things, but she has never said them or repeated any of them after we have said the word and over and over to her. Today, she surprised us by repeating a word (the name of a toy) and saying it spontaneously when we asked her the name of the toy. And of course, I made Laurel say it over and over again just to be sure I heard right!! Everyone was in the room to hear it too! And as an added bonus, Laurel makes a random word sound sooo adorable! I feel like we have been anxiously awaiting for Laurel to start saying all of these words that she is storing up! We praised her over and over! I think it's such a big milestone for our girl!
After I made her say it a few dozen times, I finally thought to get it on video as she was going to bed! Laurel doesn't say it quite as enthusiastically as earlier in the evening, but you still get to hear it!

If you couldn't make it out, the word is "shot." We are at my parents house right now and they have a toy doctor kit. Laurel got out the the toy syringe (we just made it simple and called it a shot :) ), she repeated it after us and proudly said it over and over for us! So cute and so random! :)
