If we are facebook friends, you may have noticed that I am not on facebook anymore. I feel convicted and I desire to simplify. It's a big distraction and time-waster for me that keeps me from my main priorities: Seeking God, Loving my husband and daughter intentionally and well, and homemaking. I decided to just get rid of my account rather than just limit my time on it because it's so easy for that few minutes to turn into 30 minutes for me. I'm not disciplined enough to keep it short and I realized that I just really don't need it. Although it's been an easy way for me to keep in touch with friends, talking with friends about getting together, etc, it's also made me very lazy! I need to be and want to be more intentional about catching up with friends and planning playdates and things!
So there you have it! Those are my reasons for getting rid of my facebook account! I am actually really excited about not having it anymore. It already feels freeing to not have to know what's going on with everyone and not be " in-the-know!" I don't want to replace non-facebook time with another time-wasting activity, so I am praying and working on being disciplined with how I manage my time. "Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil." (Ephesians 5:16)
Looking forward to this new simplicity! :)

So wise of you to make that realization and take action. And so challenging for me to see you take that step...
