Christmas Morning 2009

Laurel had no idea what would await her on Christmas morning! Laurel slept in some and Peter and I were thrilled when we could finally go in and get her! We were so excited to celebrate Christmas with our sweet girl!

For weeks prior to Christmas, I couldn't stop talking about how I just couldn't wait to see Laurel's reaction when she saw that same stroller that she's used to playing with in the toy shop! She was really low key about everything at first and didn't say a thing! When she saw her baby in the stroller, she darted over to it, took the baby out, and THEN started pushing the stroller around everywhere! We would get Laurel to come play with us or help open a present and then she would go right back to pushing her stroller!

Even though Laurel was pretty quiet at first, but she was definitely excited when she saw that she had dried Cranberries and goldfish in her stocking!

Laurel loves pretending to sweep, so now she has her own broom and dust pan! We pull it out anytime I sweep.

Laurel was definitely into tearing the wrapping paper!

Our favorite picture! Why just pick one to play with? First off, Laurel loves to push things or pull things all over the house. Laurel also got a vacuum from Grammy and Granddad for Christmas so she could vacuum like Mama and perhaps not be so terrified of our vacuum (loves her play one, still terrified of the big one). She had a blast just being able to drag around two of her new toys all over the house.

Looking at her new coloring book with Daddy
Taking a break in her new chair from Bibi and Papa! Laurel was so busy that morning, this was probably one of the few times she was actually sitting down for more than a few seconds!

Helping Daddy open his gift from his girls!

Such a fun morning for our little family! After our family celebration, we headed to Peter's parents to celebrate Christmas with the Ashfords! Those pictures to come!
