Even though we're already into the New Year, I did want to go back and post about our Christmas! Laurel is at such a fun age and it was so fun to have her more involved this year!
On Christmas Eve, we went to our church's annual children's Christmas Pageant! It's such a neat event! Children from the community are invited to participate as well if they like! The kids play instruments and sing song to tell the story of the birth of Jesus! It's a family event, so it was so fun having Laurel with us! However, after the first 30 seconds, Laurel realized she rather be moving around then staying still, so Peter and I took turns taking her into the back of the worship center and in the lobby to run around. We got to enjoy the last 10 minutes of it together as the family with the help of such crackers for Laurel we had packed.
After the service, we drove around to look at some Christmas lights and then headed home to read the Christmas story to Laurel before bed. We pray as her understanding of the Birth of Christ grows that He becomes so real to her in her life!
