Here are some pictures from her first day!
It was a little chaotic with all of the parents and kids on the first day and my girl was ready to go, so a picture in the class wasn't going to happen as you can see. :)
Some things I want to note so far...
-Now, a lot of the time, she'll pretend she's reading a book to the class and hold it facing outwards for people to see. :) I'll hear her say things like, "Can everyone see?"
-I'll hear her sing little songs, but I had no idea what they were until I saw in her class newsletter that they have songs for lining up, colors, calendar, shapes, etc.
-For a while, Laurel would hold up a book and say (in a very teacher voice), "This is a Biiiiiible." (She said it so drawn out and so slow! It's so cute!)
-One of her favorite things about preschool is this animal puppet "Juan" that the preschool pastor uses when they have chapel and is often outside with it to greet the kids in the mornings. Ever since the preschool orientation, she was so fascinated that the"animal was talking." If "Juan" is not outside in the morning, Laurel runs up to the pastor and asks where he is. Thankfully, Laurel is pretty satisfied with any explanation.
