Juan

Meet Juan. Laurel has been enamored with the idea of an animal "talking" since her preschool orientation night! Many days, the preschool pastor stands outside the doors with Juan greeting the kids. Juan also helps when they have chapel. Every morning, Laurel sprints to the door to see Juan and pat him and wait for him to talk to her. It just makes her morning if he's outside! If he's not out there, she will ask the pastor where he is. Usually on Wednesdays (chapel days), the pastor will tell her that he's not out there because he's "reading his Bible before chapel." So on other days when Juan isn't out there, Laurel will say that "Juan's reading his Bible" or "Juan is resting" before the preschool pastor even has a chance to answer!

And a funny quote from yesterday when we were asking Laurel about Juan and what kind of animal he is....

Peter: Is Juan a monkey?

Laurel: Nooo! He's a puppet!
