VBS 2011

I am in the process of trying to catch up on posts about our sweet, sweet Laurel (including a post about our big 3-year old!) But in the mean time, I just had to post about Laurel's week at VBS! Last week, Laurel went to VBS at Peter's parents' church! The youngest age they had classes for was age 3, so Laurel just made it! Laurel had an absolute ball! She loved it and looked forward to it every evening! Peter's mom was helping out in Laurel's class and so it was so fun to hear all the details about what Laurel was doing and what she liked the best! One of Laurel's favorite activities there was the music time! She absolutely LOVED trying to do the motions to the songs and dancing to them!

On Friday evening, there was a family fun night and the age groups sang a few of the songs they had learned that week. Laurel did great! When they were doing the opening ceremony (before they got on stage) with the pledges and a few of the songs they all did together, she got so into it! We were a few rows over and it was so fun to watch her sitting with the other 3 year olds, just dancing away and trying to do the pledge! After that, the 3s,4s, and 5s, sang 3 songs they had learned that week. She had never been on stage before so I was unsure of how she would do, but she stayed up on stage and did a lot of the motions. She also did a lot of looking around too!

Here are some pictures from it! There was so much light on the stage and I didn't want to miss pictures of the performance as I was trying to play with the settings to fix it.

And here is a video. We had thought to do a video on the 2nd song and she probably was most into the 1st song. Be sure to be on the lookout for how she ends the second song!

Kristen - That last picture cracks me up! I'm so happy to see the little ones are growing well! Keep up the good work, Mama!
